This park provides incredible walking experiences, where the guides can take you up close to animals such as elephant, lion, and even wild dogs.  Another must do activity, is to experience canoeing on the Zambezi River, there is nothing quite like drifting silently past elephant, hippo and a whole range of animals and birdlife for a completely different perspective.

In between walkings and experiences from the canoe on the Zambezi River, there will of course be plenty of game drives to enjoy. With it's diversity of activities, Mana Pools is truly a safari-lovers Mekka! After breakfast on your 4th day, we will take you by boat and take you back up the river to Chirundu, where your transfer will be waiting to take you back to Lusaka in Zambia. The scenery is extremely varied ranging from broad sandy riverbeds; extensive systems of seasonally water-filled pans; rocky ridges; towering baobab trees, and of course the famous Chilojo Cliffs; the magnificent red sandstone cliffs that have been formed through millennia of erosion and overlook the scenic Runde River .This "last frontier" of the safari universe has, due to its remoteness, the least amount of visitors of all the national parks in Zimbabwe.

Hwange.jpg

Day 6-11

hwange NP

Your next destination is Matobo National Park. This park is famed for its landscape of balancing granite rocks- known locally as “kopjes”. For a touch of history Bushmen paintings can also be found in the caves of these kopjes. Etosha.jpg

Day 1-4

etosha NP (namibia)

When you touch down in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia we will be there to meet you at the airport and head north on a 4-hour drive, where the magical Etosha National Park is waiting for you. You will spend 3 or 4 nights here (depending on arrival time in Windhoek) at one of the national parks camps which are simple but perfectly situated within the park or stay outside in one of the more luxurious private camps, and then travel into the Etosha during the day. Whichever you choose it is best to adjust to the rhythm of the animals: rising early at dawn to watch them feed in the cool morning; then relax during the midday heat; and venturing out on safari again in the late afternoon.  Some of the pans are floodlit at night offering a completely different game viewing experience. During the dry season between July and November, waterholes around the pan attracts a huge crowd of animals!
